Each year during the busy holiday season, we take a day out to extend a helping hand to those that need it most. For the past 43 years, loyal CKNW listeners, donors and a team of tireless staff and volunteers, come together one month before the holidays for our biggest fundraising drive of the year.

Only 6 years old, Chris has permanent hearing loss in both ears with frequent ear infections. A grant of $1,650 allowed Chris to stop using loaner hearing aids and acquire his own.

On the last Wednesday of February each year in BC, a great swath of kindness and unity descends on the province, as kids and adults alike stand up to bullying in all forms. CKNW Kids' Fund's Pink Shirt Day has become an important fundraiser for anti-bullying programs.

With both a learning disability and language-based delay, 7-year-old Bradley struggles with fine motor skills, memory & focusing. A $2,000 grant allowed him to receive 1:1 tutoring at home.

With Global Developmental Delay and Anxiety Disorder, Jules has seen improvement in her self-confidence and ability to cope with anxiety after receiving therapeutic horseback riding. We were able to grant $1,700 so she could continue in this program.

Will is 5 years old and has a severe developmental delay, a seizure disorder and speech delay. CKNW Kids’ Fund granted $3,500 to help fund his family’s accessible van conversion.

Caitlyn is just under 3 years old with a complex medical history, and has feeding difficulties that require a G-tube for feeding. We granted $2,500 to fund her crucial feeding equipment and supplies.

One day a year for the past 49 years, CKNW Kids' Fund has taken over the PNE for the Picnic at Playland, to offer kids living with a disability the chance to just be kids. With the entire park reserved just for them, our guests receive all the support they need to enjoy games, rides, entertainment, and carefree fun.
